Dashboard and Overview
Cashlytics has two summary surfaces: Dashboard for fast status checks and Overview for broader monthly context.
Dashboard
Use the dashboard to verify that your financial data is up to date after adding or changing accounts, income, expenses, transfers, or imported rows.
The dashboard summarizes:
- total account balances
- income and expense totals
- recent transactions
- category breakdowns
- upcoming recurring payments
- quick account snapshots
Most write actions revalidate the dashboard after saving, so it is the best place to confirm whether a change affected totals.
Overview
Use Overview when you want a more analytical snapshot of the current month. It focuses on cashflow, categorized spending, trends, and forecast-like summaries rather than individual form workflows.
Common Checks
- If balances look wrong, review account opening balances first.
- If a recurring item is missing, check its start date, end date, and recurrence type.
- If category totals are incomplete, assign categories to expenses and daily expenses.
- If imported rows do not appear, finish the CSV import confirmation step.
