Expenses
Cashlytics separates planned or recurring expenses from one-time daily expenses.
Recurring Expenses
Recurring expenses are used for predictable payments such as rent, insurance, subscriptions, memberships, or utilities.
Supported recurrence types are:
- once
- daily
- weekly
- monthly
- quarterly
- semiannual
- yearly
- custom interval
Recurring expenses can include a start date, optional end date, category, account, currency, notes, and a subscription flag.
Daily Expenses
Daily expenses are one-time transactions such as groceries, restaurants, fuel, or purchases. They use a transaction date instead of a recurrence schedule.
Subscriptions
Use the subscription flag for recurring expenses that should be treated as subscriptions in analytics and upcoming payment reminders.
Attachments
Expenses and daily expenses can have documents attached. Attachments are stored in the documents library and can be previewed, downloaded, or deleted. Receipt scanner saves the scanned receipt image as an attachment when the resulting expense is saved successfully.
Currencies
Expenses can be saved in a currency different from your base currency. Cashlytics stores original amount, currency, and exchange rate metadata when conversion applies.
